Kelley Blue Book Names Odyssey one of the Best Minivans for 2021

Experts at Kelley Blue Book have ranked the best Minivans of 2021 and the 2021 Honda Odyssey has made the list!

Kelley Blue Book based these rankings on the minivans safety ratings, passenger and cargo space, and affordability. The list consisted of 5 minivans and the Odyssey was ranked number two with a 4.6 out of 5 rating.

Editors at Kelley Blue Book stated that, “The always excellent Honda Odyssey is a terrific minivan choice. It has been a frequent winner of KBB’s Minivan Best Buy award and shines when it comes to resale value. No surprise that it’s also one of the best-selling minivans in the country and one of our favorite family cars.”

Experts at Kelley Blue Book also mentioned the Odyssey’s safety ratings as its most impressive attribute. The 2021 Odyssey earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the standard suite of Honda Sensing technology.

To qualify for a 2020 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award, a vehicle must earn good ratings in six crashworthiness evaluations, including the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. It also needs advanced or superior ratings for both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash prevention, as well as acceptable or good headlight ratings across all trim levels.

The Honda Odyssey offers a nice amount of storage space with up to 38.6 cubic feet of storage space behind the third row and 92.3 cubic feet of space behind the second row with the third row folded down. The middle row of seats can also be removed to open up the van’s maximum cargo capacity of 158 cubic feet.
