IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Rating Awarded to the 2023 Honda Accord
In order to qualify for a 2023 Top Safety Pick+ award, the vehicle must earn GOOD ratings in all crashworthiness evaluations. This year’s TSP criteria also include nighttime vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash prevention test. Vehicles must earn an advanced or superior performance in both the nighttime and daytime pedestrians tests for the higher award. And ACCEPTABLE and GOOD ratings must be earned on headlight ratings across all trim levels. The 2023 Honda Accord has been awarded with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2023 Top Safety Pick+(TSP+) rating. The new accord earned the Institute’s highest possible ratings in six out of seven categories. The Accord’s standard front crash prevention system also earned a SUPERIOR rating in the daytime and an ADVANCED rating in the nighttime from IIHS for vehicle-to-pedestrian avoidance tests. A combined six Honda models earned IIHS Top Safety Pick (TSP) rating or better for 2023. Four of these models earning the pinnacle Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) rating.
