The 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback has been revealed as the latest addition to the all-new 11th-generation Civic lineup!

Building on the 2022 Civic Sedan that arrived in Honda dealerships earlier this month, the most fun-to-drive Civic Hatchback ever combines striking, Euro-inspired exterior styling and five-door versatility with an even sportier driving experience. Available with a 6-speed manual transmission, the Civic Hatchback is designed to meet the needs of young, active buyers.

What’s New?

The new hatchback has clean lines and a sporty exterior that helps differentiate it from the 11th-generation sedan. The Hatchback will also offer a broader lineup with two available engine choices and an available manual transmission on multiple trim levels.

The 2022 Hatchback base LX and Sport trim levels now come with the same 158-hp naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four as the sedan. The turbo 1.5-liter remains on the EX-L and Sport Touring trims, and it makes 180 horsepower. A CVT automatic is standard, while a six-speed manual will be available with either engine choice. The stick-shift is offered with the 2.0L engine on the Sport and with the 1.5L engine on the loaded Sport Touring.

The cargo area offers 25 cubic feet of space behind the second row. The rear seats fold 60/40 to create even more space when needed. Honda also stated that the rear seats now provide more legroom and headroom than ever before.

Interior Features

A 7-inch touchscreen comes standard and a 9-inch screen is available on the Sport Touring trim. The Sport Touring trim also comes with a fully digital gauge cluster and a Bose Audio System. Plenty of standard driver-assistance features are included while blind-spot monitoring is offered on the EX-L and Sport Touring trims.

The Civic Hatchback also includes two new colors this year; Boost Blue and Smokey Mauve Pearl.
