When it’s time for vacation, there aren’t many options better than a road trip. The most important part of a road trip is of course, the thing that gets you on the road! Whether you’re tackling dirt roads, snowy hills or beach highways, you need a vehicle that can handle all different situations – the 2019 Honda HR-V is that vehicle. Here’s why the HR-V is the perfect vehicle for your road tripping needs:

Performance

The Honda HR-V is one of the few compact SUVs to have an available all-wheel-drive system. This gives the HR-V better traction on slick or slippery road surfaces. Furthermore, AWD increases your chance of getting free if a wheel or two gets stuck in snow, sand or mud.

Fuel Economy

Vacations are expensive. The last thing you want is to find yourself funneling all your money into your gas tank. The 2WD model of the HR-V gets 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. Similarly, the AWD model gets 27 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. This means less gas station stops, and more money in your pocket.

Cargo Space

The HR-V is on the Honda Fit platform with Magic Seats. The bottom of the backseats flip up to make room for tall items. Also, the seats easily fold forward completely flat to provide maximum cargo capacity. With all seats folded flat, you have 58.8 cu-ft. of cargo space with which to work. Even with the backseats upright, the HR-V offers 24.3 cu-ft. of cargo space. A very wide and low hatch opening makes loading your gear a breeze.

Convenience

Small convenience features help round-out the HR-V’s utility when it comes to being the perfect road trip vehicle. Sound deadening ensures you have a nice, quiet ride. A hidden storage shelf in the middle console keeps phones and cords tucked out of the way. Multi-way adjustable cupholders make it easy to keep drinks handy while driving.
